Tips for everyday vocal health
If you've ever experienced a dry throat, you know how painfully unpleasant that can be. To ensure your voice operates on a basic level, stay hydrated. Tea and Water are huge helpers. Everyone's tea preference is different, but if you don't know where to start, here is one of my favorite tea remedies.
DRY THROAT BE GONE TEA
*100% Apple Juice *Mint Tea Bag *Serving: 1
Pour one cup of 100% Apple juice into pot over medium/high heat. Once the juice has boiled, place your mint tea bag in your mug and pour the apple juice into the mug. Let the tea bag steep for 3-5 minutes and enjoy!
Plank it Out!
Believe it or not, but the voice is affected by the rest of the body. It is affected by our mental, emotional and physical state. If you find that you are having a hard time singing or speaking long phrases, chances are your abdominal and oblique muscles need a little more love and affection. Plank it out for 60 seconds everyday. This kind of consistent training will help you out so much and will make a massive difference!
Keep it Positive
Like I mentioned before, the voice is connected to every aspect of the body. Keeping a positive, creative and fun environment where you feel free to try new things, fail and try again is super crucial for a healthy vocal life. Your voice tells your story. A story that someone else may need to hear. Don't judge your sound or your capabilities. This vocal journey is unique to you and that's something to be proud of.
